This Privacy Policy explains how Instafixx collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit our website, contact us, or bring a device to us for repair. If anything is unclear, please contact us using the details at the end.

1. Who We Are

Instafixx is an iPhone and Apple device repair brand in Kolkata, run by Avrak Mobi Solutions Private Limited (“Instafixx”, “we”, “us”), at 23/5 Gariahat Road, Kolkata 700029. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”), we are the “Data Fiduciary” for the personal data described here.

2. What Information We Collect

Information You Give Us

• Your name, phone number, email address and, if needed, your address.
• Details about your device, such as the model, colour, serial number or IMEI, and the problem you describe.
• Messages you send us through our website form, WhatsApp, phone calls or email.
• Billing details, such as the invoice and how you paid. Card and UPI payments are processed by the bank or payment provider, and we do not store your full card details.

Information Collected Automatically on Our Website

• Basic technical information, such as your browser type, device type, pages visited and the approximate area you visited from.
• Cookies and similar technologies (see section 6).

3. How We Use Your Information

• To reply to your questions and give you quotes.
• To book, carry out and test your repair, and keep you updated on its progress.
• To provide warranty and after-sales support.
• To prepare invoices and keep the records we must keep by law, such as tax records.
• To understand how people use our website so we can improve it.
• To send you offers or updates, only if you have agreed. You can say “stop” at any time.

We use your personal data only for the purpose you gave it for, or as allowed by law. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

4. Your Device Data

Your phone, tablet or computer holds personal things: photos, messages, contacts and more. Our promise:

• We never ask for your passcode or password. You don’t need to share your device passcode, Apple ID password or any other password with us.
• Your data is not accessed. We do not open, view, copy or look through your photos, messages, emails, files or apps.
• Your data is not deleted during a repair. You don’t need to take a backup before your repair.
• Formatting or reset only with your consent. If a repair ever needs your device to be formatted or reset, we will always tell you in advance and do it only after taking your consent.

5. WhatsApp and Phone Calls

If you contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are also handled by WhatsApp (owned by Meta) under its own terms and privacy policy. We use WhatsApp to answer your questions, send quotes and give repair updates. We will not add you to broadcast or marketing lists unless you agree.

6. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. Our website may use:

• Essential cookies that make the site and our contact form work, including spam protection.
• Analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics, to count visits and see which pages are useful. This information is grouped and does not tell us who you are.
• Advertising cookies, such as the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to measure our ads and show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also use Google’s opt-out tools and your Facebook ad settings to control ads. Blocking essential cookies may stop some parts of the site from working.

7. Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only when needed, for example with:

• Service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, payment and delivery providers. They may use your data only to provide their service to us.
• Apple, where repair details (such as your device’s serial number and the part used) need to be recorded as part of our role as an Apple Independent Repair Partner.
• Our sister brand Kkonnect, only if you ask us to, for example for a quote on a new phone.
• Government or legal authorities, when the law requires it.

8. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, such as warranty support, or as long as the law requires, for example for tax and accounting records. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.

9. How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable security measures to protect your data, such as limiting access to staff who need it and using secure systems. No system is completely secure, but if a personal data breach happens, we will act quickly and inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, you generally have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
• Ask us to correct, complete or update your data.
• Ask us to delete your data when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it.
• Withdraw your consent at any time.
• Raise a complaint (grievance) with us and, if you are not satisfied with our reply, with the Data Protection Board of India.
• Nominate another person to use these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.

11. Children

Our website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal data without a parent’s or guardian’s consent.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are important, we will make that clear on our website.
